FAQ's

What does Alpha do?

Alpha provides support to individuals aged 14 and over to plan for and live the lifestyle of their choice.

Alpha works with each individual and their family to develop an individual plan that addresses the issues of life after school.

Some of the issues may include employment, recreation, day activities, independent living skills, social skills, finance and housing.

Alpha provides many of these services directly including employment, day activities, respite and recreation. Other key issues such as housing and finance are addressed in partnership with family and other providers.

How do I request support from Alpha?

You can ring Alpha on 03 9885 2777, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm and ask to speak to the Intake Officer.

Or, you can email us through the Enquiries Tab at the top right of the page and we will call you back.

Do I need a referral from a doctor or anyone else?

No. For most services you can contact Alpha directly and Alpha staff will assist you to get any additional information you need such as a Centrelink or disability assessment.
