Welcome to 2012 article/welcome-to-2012 <h2>Welcome to 2012</h2> <p> We are looking forward to having all of our programs back in action on Tuesday 10<sup>th</sup> January.</p> <p>2012 is shaping up to be a great year with some great developments in planning and two very special projects coming to fruition</p> <h2>Moving into IT</h2> <p> For those seeking employment the long awaited Software Testing project will be in full operation with the first “Testers” to commence employment early in the year. </p> <p>This is a very exciting innovation that has been two years in the planning and is a partnership between, Alpha, InfoXchange and Social Firms Australia with the objective of providing training and employment for people with Aspergers and an interest in IT and software.</p> <p>The employees will be providing professional software testing for a range of corporations with ongoing  personal support and technical training.</p> <p> </p> <h2>The Communication Revolution</h2> <p> The Ipad revolution continues with Alpha moving into the second stage of the communications project. In 2011, Alpha tested Ipads as a platform for creating portable and personalised communications tools for each individual using our services.</p> <p>The initial trials were very successful and with the support of the funds raised through the  Drawtism campaign, Ipads were purchased for each ATSS program.</p> <p>The second stage will involve rolling out the communication tools for every individual and investigating the options for use of the Ipads as daily communication tools between the home and the program.</p> <p>This would mean that photos and notes could be stored and shared easily, every day.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong><em>Look for more updates very soon.</em></strong></p> Thu, 05 Jan 2012 14:29:25 +1100 article/welcome-to-2012 Changes at Keilor in 2012 article/changes-at-keilor-in-2012 <p>We are very sad to announce that Russell Drake has decided to move on to a new challenge in his career and will be leaving Keilor at the end of January 2012.</p> <p>Russell will be taking on a new role  assisting children with ASD in schools with a special focus on managing their own behaviour.</p> <p>Our sincere thanks to Russell, for all his care and outstanding support for all the guys at Keilor.
